Tiny Beach House build continues...

It is spring once again and time for me to get back to work.
Actually, I worked here and there during the winter on some of the interior things that I could handle without freezing my fingers off.

To update my readers.....
I have rough wired the interior electrical and had it inspected by a licensed electrician who gave me the thumbs up.  I am going to hire him to actually install the outlets and switches as well as the main panel.  Electricity is something I feel better left to a professional.  I am, however, comfortable running my solar power myself as I did in our cabin in the woods.

I managed to rough in the Pex plumbing lines about 90%.  Drilling holes through my wall studs was a bit frightening at first, but I realize it is necessary.   I still have to put the fittings on the lines, but at least the major part of the job is done and behind me.

I built my partition wall between the kitchen and bath.  I want to add two more studs within each side of the door opening to accommodate the insulation size.

There are still many more things to be done, but it's okay.  I'm not racing towards a finish date.  Just racing towards finishing it and being able to travel and enjoy it!
 Pex fitting for toilet
 ...for bathroom sink
...for shower

Extra studs in bathroom partition wall.
Nail plates installed.

Sectional sofa/bed partially done.
 Update...June 1st 2017
Just to update you on my build...I have been plugging along and have gotten the electrical about 90% done, and working on insulation now.  Here's some photos:
Here's my main panel and sub panel for solar.
 Outlet and switch at kitchen.
Outlet and switch inside bath wall.

Getting some insulation up.
UPDATE...6-24-17
started putting up tongue and groove pine plank paneling
found a 15 lite french door for bathroom!
I had to cut it down to fit.

I installed a better track and mounted my roller blade wheels

I was on a "roll", so I continued working

It's finally feeling beach cottage like!
Oh, and I ordered my flooring...
stay tuned!
 UPDATE:
July 16th, 2017

It is feeling and looking more and more like the beach house in my mind!
I special ordered this vinyl flooring because I didn't want any seams.  It was quite the job creating the paper template and clipping it to the vinyl for cutting.  I was so nervous making the first cut.  But once I did, it was all down hill from there!   I still have prep work to do to the sub floor before the vinyl stays where it is.  I had to see what it was going to look like right then.  And, stepping on this floor with bare feet feels wonderful!
Until next update...
